FraserBillBill Fraser, age 78, of Brownwood passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his residence.

Graveside Services for Bill will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene, Texas with Billy Spencer officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Bill was born on February 22, 1936 to Wayland and Mildred (Bartholomew) Fraser in Abilene, Texas who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Abilene High School and attended McMurry University. Bill married Patsy on August 8, 1987 in Abilene. He retired from the Texas Army National Guard after 21 years. Bill had many hobbies and passions such as, feeding his birds, anything outdoors, camping, fishing, and cooking biscuits in a Dutch oven. He was an amateur HAM radio operator and the “go-to Weatherman.” Bill had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patsy Fraser of Brownwood; son, Wayland Fraser of Abilene; daughters, Christie Fraser of Abilene, Marsha Dyal and husband Rip of CoCoa, Florida, Mia Irby and husband Tom of Austin, and Jill Germann of Houston; and beloved grandchildren, Rachel Dyal, Kevin Irby, Jake Irby, and Ali Germann.

Memorials can be made in Bill’s memory to Meals on Wheels or charity of one’s choice. Online condolences are welcomed at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
