MeyersLoyce Blanton Myers, age 87, of Gouldbusk, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014, at her residence.  Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, at the Cleveland Church of Christ with Charlie R. Fleming officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

Loyce was born September 19, 1926 in Santa Anna, Texas, a daughter of Manley Freeman Blanton and Nora Q. Scott Blanton.  She grew up in Santa Anna and Trickham and graduated from Santa Anna High School.  She moved to Austin where she lived for a number of years before moving to Odessa in 1990, and then to Gouldbusk in 2000.  While living in Austin, Loyce was a telephone operator and a hostess at the Night Hawk Restaurant.  She was a member of the Cleveland Church of Christ.

Survivors are two daughters, Shirley Yvonne Sealy and husband Dan of Gouldbusk and Connie Janell Singleton of Georgetown; one son, Ronnie Wayne Myers and wife Mitzie of Pflugerville; six grandchildren, Michael Wayne Jones of Midland, Shaylene Janell Bekker and husband Brian of Leander, Natalie Loyce Marshall and husband Steve of Azle, Kimberley Greene and husband Bill of Dripping Springs, Matthew Douglas Myers and Kelly Myers; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Carson Bekker, Callie Bekker, J. T. Greene, Jeremy Greene, Bailey Myers, Austin Myers, Elizabeth and Michaela Myers; three sisters, Anne Lawson of Georgetown, Gladys Reese of Coleman and Lou Anderson of Georgetown.

She had lots of hobbies: embroidery, quilting, loved flowers and looked forward to Spring, gardening, fishing for catfish and cards.

She collected cookbooks and loved to read them just like a novel.  Her great grand kids gave her lots of pleasure and she gave each of them their own special nickname.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Dale Dean, Tommy and Sid Blanton; two sisters, Shirley Phillips and Nell Rainey.

Memorials may be made to the Cleveland Cemetery Association, c/o Janice Fellers, P. O. Box 722, Santa Anna, Texas 76878.
