Weekly Fishing Report for Area Lakes

fishingBelow are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained; 51–55 degrees; 10.52′ low. Black bass are good on chartreuse jigs and watermelon soft plastics. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on Li’l Fishies and minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait, minnows, and frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

Lake Coleman

Water clear; 56–60 degrees; 16.17′ low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastics, and on chartreuse Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are good on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait, liver, and frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 49–56 degrees; 45.90′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon seed jigs, shakyheads, Rat–L–Traps and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows.

Lake Proctor

Water stained; 50–54 degrees; 8.34′ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies and small spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
