TxDotlogoThe Texas Department of Transportation will host a series of public meetings in late March to encourage public comments on the FY 2015-2018 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Brownwood District. The public is encouraged to offer input on area transportation plans.

A TIP is a capital improvement program developed by local and state transportation agencies. It includes a list of transportation projects that are drawn from a long-range statewide plan. The TIP serves as a short-term programming document that lists approximately four years of funded transportation projects.

Meetings for the Brownwood District will be hosted at the following locations and times:

10 a.m. March 26:  Connellee Hotel West Room, 209 W. Main Street, Eastland,
Texas 76448. This meeting will cover projects in Comanche, Eastland and
Stephens Counties.

10 a.m. March 27:  Hostess House Meeting Room, 1406 U.S. 281 South
(intersection of US 281 and US 190 at Hancock Park), Lampasas, Texas 76550.
This meeting will cover projects in Lampasas, Mills and San Saba Counties.

10 a.m. March 28:  Adams Street Community Center, 511 East Adams, Brownwood,
Texas 76801. This meeting will cover projects in Brown, Coleman and
McCulloch Counties.

Those who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact Jason Scantling at (325) 643-0415 at least five business days prior to the meeting. TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs.

Written comments may be submitted to the Texas Department of Transportation, Attention Jason Scantling, P.E., 2495 Highway 183 North, Brownwood, Texas 76802, or by email at [email protected].  To be considered, comments must be submitted by 5 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014.
