Two Days Remain in Early Voting

votebuttonBrown County early voting continues at the Adams Street Community Center through Friday, February 28th in the Primary Election.  Only two days remain for early voting and both days, the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

According to Brown County assistant elections administrator Larry Franks, there have been 1851 citizens as of Wednesday that have voted in the early voting period which began on February 18th.

Franks reminds voters to remember to bring their identification when casting a ballot.

“Remind voters to bring their Drivers License for the photo ID requirement,” Franks said.  “So far we have not had any problems with the ID issue.”

Early voting continues through Friday, ending at 7:00 p.m. Registered voters will have their final chance to vote again on Primary Election Day, Tuesday, March 4th.

Local Candidates include:

County Judge – Ray West – Incumbent, Dennis Graham, and Ronnie Lappe
Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 – Walter B. Croft – Incumbent, unopposed
Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 – Bob Wall – Incumbent,  Michael Holder, and John Lawson, Sr.
Justice of the Peace 3 – Bryan Thompson – Incumbent, unopposed
Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 – Jim Cavanaugh – Incumbent, unopposed
County Court at Law – Frank Griffin – Incumbent and Sam Moss
Constable Precinct 3 – C.T. Ham, Jason Cockerham and Roy Parrack
Commissioner Precinct 2 – Joel Kelton – Incumbent and Adron Beck
Commissioner Precinct 4 – Larry Traweek – Incumbent and David Carroll
District Clerk – Brenda Arp, Sheena Cantwell and Cheryl Jones
County Clerk – Sharon Ferguson – Incumbent, unopposed
County Tax Collector/Assessor – Christine Pentecost, unopposed
County Treasurer – Ann Krpoun – Incumbent, unopposed
County Surveyor – Don King – Incumbent, unopposed
