EISD Choir Members Earn Superior Ratings, Qualify for State UIL Competition

Early High School’s choral program brought home special honors on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the District UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest held at Howard Payne University.

Fifty-three superior ratings were awarded the students, who sang solos and participated in madrigal groups under the category of small ensemble.

 

Thirty-one students will represent Early High School at the State UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest to be held in May at Dickerson High School in Pflugerville, Texas. The students are under the direction of Judy C. Reed, Director of Choral Activities for the Early Independent School District, and Freida Davis, Early Middle School Choir Director and Choral Assistant for the high school choir program.
