FergusonRichardRichard O. Ferguson, 77, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 in Fort Worth.  A Visitation will be held Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.  A Memorial Graveside will be scheduled at a later date at Pottsville Public Cemetery in Hamilton County, Texas.

Richard was born April 11, 1936 in Vernon to the late Lewis A. and Myrtle Florence (Patterson) Ferguson.  He married Linda Taylor, April 2, 1966 in Pottsville, Texas.  Richard was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture-Soil Conservation Service where he served 35 years as a core drill operator, construction inspector, and conservation tech.  He was a member of Newcastle Masonic Lodge where he was serving as secretary, a member of Young County Lodge, and a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason.  Richard was a member of First Baptist Church in Graham for 30 plus years.

Survivors include; wife, Linda Ferguson of Graham; daughter, Monica Marterella and husband Brian of Frisco; son, Kevin Ferguson and wife Karen of Stephenville; grandchildren, Hailey Ferguson of Corpus Christi, Tyler Ferguson of Stephenville, and Allen Marterella of Frisco.

Memorials may be made to: Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, American Diabetes Association, or American Heart Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Morris Funeral Home, 700 Oak Street, Graham Texas 76450.
