GarzaRebeccaFuneral Services for Rebecca Garza, 50, of Brownwood will be held at 2pm Thursday, February 13, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brownwood.  Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.  Visitation for Mrs. Garza will be from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, February 12, 2014, with Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

“This is eternal life:  That they may know You, the only true God, And the One You have sent – Jesus Christ. I have glorified you on earth by completing the work You gave me to do.  Now, Father, glorify me in Your presence with that glory I had with You before the world existed.” John 17: 3-5.

The Lord opened up his arms and received an angel on Sunday, February 9, 2014, in Brownwood after a long battle with illness.

Rebecca was born September 14, 1963, in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico, to Jose and Soledad Zamarippa Rosales.  She was married to Frank Garza, Jr. on August 28, 1983, in Brady, Texas.  She was a homemaker and loved to garden as well as spend time outdoors.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Brownwood.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Garza, Jr., of Brownwood; daughters, Laura Castro and husband Fabian Castro of Tyler, Monica Garza of Brownwood and Jacqueline Garza of Brownwood; as well as 4 grandchildren Damien Castro, Caden Villarreal, Crystin Villareal and Aviana Castro.

Mrs. Garza was preceded in death by her parents, Soledad Rosales and Jose Zamarripa.
