Texas UIL released the high school football realignments Monday morning which placed Brownwood in District Division I 4A, Region 1 District 3.   These realignments will be effective beginning Fall 2014.

Also in this new district will be Stephenville, Abilene Wylie, Big Spring and Snyder.

4A basketball realignment puts Brownwood in 4A Region 1 District 6 with Abilene Wylie, Graham, Stephenville, and Mineral Wells.

Early and Bangs will be in the Division I3A Region 1 District 3 along with Brady, Clyde, Merkel, Jim Ned Tuscola and Wall.

Early and Bangs will be realigned with Brady, Coleman and Comanche in 3A basketball in Region 1 District 7.

Two of the biggest changes in the realignment moved 6 Man football into 1A divisions and expanded the alignment system to a new category of 6A in Texas.
