My name is Bill Drewell, retired Captain of the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office.

I am addressing the election of the Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2 of Brown County.  Mike Holder who is running for that office was under my command for the 22 years of his employment with the Sheriff’s Office.  He served faithfully for 20 of those years in the Civil Division.  Five years as a deputy and 15 years as Lieutenant.  The last 7 years he was the supervising officer of that division.

During the time he served in the civil division, he was known to be very impartial and diligent in his service of civil process.  Particularly with the writs which took extensive research prior to serving.  Because of his attitude, he taught each of his deputies to treat everyone they approached, with civil process, like they would like to be treated as if they were the recipient.  He supervised 4 deputies, one sergeant, and 2 secretaries during his time with the civil division.

I believe Mike would be an excellent choice for service as a Justice of the Peace and would be as impartial and diligent in that job as he was with this office.

Respectfully Yours,
Bill Drewell
Retired Captain, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office
