The Brown County Youth Fair is getting close and Kohler Company recently made a donation to support the premium sale.

Tuesday morning Kohler officials presented Brown County Fair Association Finance Committee Chairperson Gayland Miller with a donation of $1000.  Thanks to donations like these each year,  the youth fair can host a successful premium sale in January which helps many of the student participants save up for college.

According to Miller, BCFA has a big goal to meet and is still seeking donations of support.

“Our goal this year is somewhere around $250,000-300,000 for the premium sale,” said Miller.  “This donation helps a lot.”

Miller explained that the $1000 from Kohler will be used for the premium sale, with $500 being designated to the Championship Club (a cooperative effort to buy animals at the sale) and the remaining $500 will be used toward multiple other project recipients.

The Brown County Youth Fair will be held January 6-11, 2014.  The premium sale will be held on Saturday, January 11th.
