Updated Friday, 8:05 AM – School delays and closings because of weather –  School officials said that some of these are subject to change as sleet continues to fall this morning.

Schools closed Friday – Brownwood, Blanket, Early, Bangs, Cross Plains, Rising Star, Santa Anna, Coleman, Richland Springs, Panther Creek,  Victory Life Academy, May, Brookesmith, Mullin, Zephyr, Goldthwaite, Ranger College (Early Campus), TSTC Brownwood and Howard Payne University.

Use caution while driving as sleet and ice cover most of the area roads.
