Parrack Announces Candidacy for Brown County Constable Precinct 3

RoyParrackRoy Parrack announces that he is seeking election to the office of Brown County Constable in Precinct 3.

Roy retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Sgt. Investigator in 2011, with an expertise in Motor Vehicle Theft. He has 39 years in Law Enforcement with 35 commissioned years for the State of Texas.

Roy started his DPS career in 1982 in Brown County as a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper, and after promoting to Sgt., was stationed in Hurst and later in San Angelo, but returned to Brown County in 1995 to finish out his career.

Roy obtained his Master Peace Officer Certification in 1994, and currently holds a commission as a Special Ranger with the Texas Dept. of Public Safety. He has received numerous commendations for his role in criminal apprehensions and duty throughout his career. Roy has a Bachelor’s Degree from Hardin-Simmons University.

Roy received the prestigious honor, Silver Star for Bravery, and is in the National Police Officer’s Hall of Fame for his quick action in the tragic Luby’s shooting in Killeen, TX.

Roy has been recognized by the American Federation of Police for his apprehensions and prevention of crime; the National Equipment Registry for significant recoveries of stolen heavy equipment; U-Haul Corporation for numerous recoveries of stolen U-Haul equipment; and the National Insurance Crime Bureau for combating vehicle theft and insurance fraud.

Roy has successfully completed 5747 hours of continuing education and training mandates for Texas Peace Officers. A sampling of his intensive training and certifications are in the following:

Roy Parrack looks forward to meeting new friends in Pct. 3 and to reacquaint himself with old friends. He asks the voters of Pct. 3 for their support and vote for the office of Brown County Constable, Pct. 3 in the March 2014 Republican Primary.
