The 5th annual Christmas Under the Stars Festival that was scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 6th and 7th, has been canceled because of icy road conditions.

Local law enforcement agencies are discouraging travel Friday and Saturday because of the icy weather.  Temperatures are not expected to get above freezing on those days.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank KTAB-TV, Howard Payne University, Texas Bank, Lee Hoffpauir Chevrolet Buick, Walmart, Guardian EMS, AT&T, and Brownwood Women’s Clinic as well as all of the volunteers and vendors who helped with the planning of the festival.
