The Howard Payne football program announced their 2013 team awards this past Thursday at the team’s annual end of the season banquet.

2013 American Southwest Conference Co-Coach of the Year, Roger Geise presided over the banquet honoring this season’s best Yellow Jacket performances on the field.

Howard Payne’s thirteen All-Conference players were recognized along with this season’s ASC Players of the Week, Richard Young and Josh Eppler.

Most Valuable Offensive Player:  Richard Young “For loyality, relentless effort, and exceptional athletic performance in Yellow Jacket Football”

Most Valuable Defensive Player:  Jason Disney “For loyalty, relentless effort, and exceptional athletic performance in Yellow Jacket Football.”

Most Inspirational Player:  Xavier McFalls “For enlivening and exalting teammates to believe in doing their best.

Yellow Jacket Award:  Michael Watford “This award is given to a student-athlete that is an outstanding athlete and their ability as a leader contributes greatly to their team.  It suggests leadership and effort that is above and beyond.  It also suggests respect from one’s team.”
