CaptianMalcomWilksCaptain Malcom Wilkes will be the guest speaker at the Pecan Valley Republican Women luncheon on Thursday, November 21 at the Brownwood Country Club.

Captain Malcom Wilkes, District Supervisor, is a 20 year veteran of Texas Parks and Wildlife.  He plans to give an overview of the duties of the game wardens, an often thankless job that entails long hours and little application.

Captain Wilkes is currently stationed in Brownwood and began his career in law enforcement with the Cameron Police Department.  A year later he became a deputy sheriff in Milam County where he spent nine years before joining Texas Parks and Wildlife as a game warden.  Captain Wilkes’ district covers eleven counties and he supervises 13 game wardens in those counties.

The public is invited to attend.  A buffet luncheon is available at 11:30 a.m.  Cost is $12 payable at the door.
