New Brownwood Lions Documentary to Premier Tuesday on Fox Sports Southwest

LegendsofHSFB“The Legends of Texas High School Football-The Brownwood Lions Story” will premier Tuesday, November 19th at 10 PM on Fox Sports Southwest and will also offer several other air dates in November and beyond.

The new documentary put together by Jeff Power will outline the history of the Brownwood Lions and feature the accomplishments of the team, players and coaches from the past and present.   Power interviews past and current coaches and players and makes the history of the Lions come to life.

Legendary Coach Gordon Wood will be a featured part of the documentary and will outline how he came to Brownwood, the 7 state championships and the effect those wins had on the community.  The documentary will also highlight the voice of the Brownwood Lions Dallas Huston, and it will feature interviews from Lawrence Elkins, Royce Blackburn, Kenneth West, Roy Spence, Jr., Jaxon Shipley and many others.

Fox Sports Southwest has confirmed five airdates for November which include:
11/19/13 – 10 PM
11/20/13 – 11 PM
11/23/13 – 4:30 PM
11/26/13 – 9:30 PM
11/28/13 – 1 PM (This air time is Thanksgiving Day and is immediately
following “The Legends of Texas High School Football-The Abilene Eagles
Story”).

Power said that other airdates in December and in 2014 are expected to be announced as well.  A DVD of the program will also be produced and available at the Gordon Wood Hall of Champions Museum and the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce.
