A graveside funeral service for Robert C. “Bob” Baker, age 71, of Early, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 15, 2013, in the Blanket Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.  Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Robert left this world on November 12, 2013 at his home in Early.

He was born on March 7, 1942 to Bob and Julie Baker of Blanket and was raised in Blanket. Robert married Beverly J. James of Blanket and together they had three children Robert Carl “Robbie”, Taylor Lee and Terri Lynn.

Robert was a coach and teacher for many years and later worked for Kohler in maintenance and with his own heavy equipment company. Robert loved his family with all his heart and worked hard to provide for them. He also loved his close friends and enjoyed his time with them.

Robert is survived by his wife Beverly of Early, a son Taylor Baker and wife Dawn of Hutto and a daughter, Terri Brinson and husband Bobby of Early along with 4 wonderful grandchildren Madison and Karly Baker of Hutto and Hunter Brinson of Austin and Hallie Brinson of Early; his mother, Julie Baker of Brownwood, a sister, Wanda Simpson of Brownwood, and a brother, Randy Baker of Fredonia.

He is preceded in death by his father Bob and a son Robbie.
