3mLogo3Mgives has donated $250 to Big Brothers Big Sisters, in recognition of Dan Garza’s commitment to the community.

Garza has donated over 20 hours to Big Brothers Big Sisters.  As a volunteer, he has served on the board of Directors, assisted with fund development and recruiting.

“3M employees and retirees generously give their time and skills to help improve lives,” said Kimberly Price, vice-president, 3Mgives.  “We are pleased to recognize their commitment to their communities.”

As part of the 3Mgives Volunteer Match, the 3M Foundation will donate $250 to eligible non-profit organizations for which a 3M employee volunteers 20 hours or a 3M retiree volunteers 25 hours or more per calendar year.  Since 2000, Volunteer Matches totaling over $4.6 million have gone to over 3,000 schools or non-profit organizations in 50 states plus the District of Columbia. For more information on this program, please contact 3Mgives at 651-733-0144 or visit www.3Mgives.com.

3Mgives is helping to improve lives in communities around the world.  Celebrating 60 years of formalized giving, 3M and the 3M Foundation have invested more than $1.3 billion in cash and products to education and charitable organizations.  These donations were bolstered by thousands of employee and retiree volunteers.  In 2012, 3M awarded $56.6 million to non-profit organizations.
