Judy Gail Womack

womack2Judy Gail (Clanton, Hill) Womack of Lake Brownwood went home to be with our Lord on Sunday morning, November 3, following a short battle with cancer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry P. and Joyce Walker of Mineral Wells; husband, Dick Womack of Lake Brownwood (earlier this year); by her youngest son, J.R. Hill of Abilene; grandson, Chad Hill of Bangs; brother, Jimmie Walker of Lake Brownwood; and by her birth father, Vernon Clanton of Santo, Texas.

She is survived by her sons, Troy Hill of Lake Brownwood and Danny White (and wife Susie) of Lipan; grandchildren Silver Criddle of Fritch, Texas, Cody Hill of Melborne, Florida, Brooke Hair of Brownwood, Shayla Hill of Bangs, and Shelby Hill of Abilene, Danny White, Jr., and Karen Snow, both of Lipan, Texas.  She is also survived by one sister, Jane Miles of Brownwood; two brothers, Jerry Walker (and wife Linda) of Aztec, New Mexico and Joe Walker (and wife Joanna) of Azle, Texas; Uncle, Frank Herring (and wife Pat) of Aztec, New Mexico; sixteen great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Judy was born on December 4, 1946, in Santo, Texas.  She and her husband, Dick, were married in 1974 in Lawton, Oklahoma.  They moved to Lake Brownwood in 1980 where both Judy and Dick were active for a number of years in the Lake Brownwood Volunteer Fire Department and Lake Brownwood Lions Club.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood with Jerry Walker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Wednesday at Davis-Morris.  Burial will follow at Rocky Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The Gideons International or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
