Charley W. Pruett, age 74, of Blanket passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at his home with his wife and sons at his side. He has gone to be with his Lord and Savior, he will forever be loved and remembered.

Funeral services for Charley will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow at Blanket Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Charley was born on June 19, 1939 to Charles Coleman Pruett and Mattie Elizabeth Spain. He married Joe Ann Isham on October 15, 1960 in Blanket. Charley was a meat cutter, meat market manager all of his working years. Most of those spent with Safeway and H.E.B.

Survivors include his wife, Joe Ann; sons, Anthony Wayne Pruett and wife Pat, and Toby Wayne Pruett and wife Billie. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Roland and wife Vanessa, Cooper and wife Jessica, Patrick, Shasta, Jason, Caitlyn, and Gibson; one great grandchild, Cloey. He truly loved them all and his granddaughter Tallie and great grandson Cooper who had gone to be in Heaven before him. He is also survived by his brother, JW Pruett and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Daddy; sisters, Ima Jean McFarland and Mary Lou Swan; brothers, Chester, John Henry, Lawrence, H.C., Charlie Coleman, and D.C.; and a special Aunt Jessica Gilmer.
