Law Enforcement Blotter 10/31

LECSmLaw enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, October 31, 2013.

Wednesday, October 30

*7:00 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue B regarding a runaway juvenile.  According to the report, the complainant’s foster son had run away the day before but had returned this date.

*9:01 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Santa Clara Drive regarding theft.  According to the report, items stolen included approximately 200 various music CDs, a gray suit jacket and a digital camera.  The estimated value of the stolen items is approximately $2400.00.

*9:18 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2100 block of Slayden Street, Brownwood High School, regarding theft.  According to the report, a front office employee advised that her cell phone had been stolen from the desk where she works the majority of the day.  She does wish to pursue charges if a suspect is identified, the report states.  An investigation is ongoing.

*12:22 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a gas drive off.   Stolen was $49.02 in gasoline, the report states.

*1:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of 13th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, an unknown suspect had scratched the complainant’s car between 9:30 p.m. on October 27th and 11:00 p.m. on October 28th.  The investigation is ongoing.

*6:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft.  According to the report, a loss prevention employee observed two juveniles stealing merchandise from inside the store. The juveniles were arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

*24-year-old Brandon Omar Barton of Early turned himself in on a warrant related to driving while license invalid.

*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Daniel Stephen Priester on a warrant related to burglary of a habitation.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
