The Mighty Maroon Marching Band Earns Awards Heart of Texas Marching Contest

The Brownwood High School Band competed at the Heart of Texas Marching Band Contest at Early High School on Saturday, October 12th.  The band was awarded “Best 3A Band” and earned a first division rating from each of the judges.  In addition, the Might Maroon Drum Majors were awarded “Best Drum Majors” at the contest.

Some of the comments from the contest judges included:

“Nice Ensemble Sound! Best of luck to you at UIL.”  -Forrester Halamicek

“Lots of energy. Really good work today.” -Mike Lewis

“Great performance percussion!!!!” -Dillon Phillips

 

“Congratulations to the High School Band for an outstanding job,” said BHS Band Director David Lambert.

The Mighty Maroon Marching Band will compete at the upcoming UIL Region 7 Marching Contest on Saturday, October 19th, at Early High School at 6:00pm.
