VFW Post 3278 along with the Ladies and Men’s Auxiliaries will recognize women in military service at 10:00 a.m. on October 19.  Post 3278 will observe this recognition during the District 8 meeting, which will be held at the Post in Brownwood.

All VFW Posts with their Auxiliaries in the District will be in attendance and participate in the ceremony. Women Veterans of all eras are invited to attend.  Since the War on Terror began, women service members have changed the militaries’ doctrine on how they serve on the battlefield.
