The American Southwest Conference announced its weekly awards and Howard Payne defensive specialist Shelby Bridges was named the ASC Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Howard Payne junior Shelby Bridges led the Lady Jackets with a solid weekend performance in wins over Mississippi College and LeTourneau.  Bridges finished the weekend with 15 service aces and 51 digs, 4.25 digs per set. She would also have eight service aces in the 3-0 victory over Mississippi College.

This was her third time this season to win the ASC’s weekly ward after being honored in weeks one and five of the season.
