mckee0001Mickey Levell McKee, 62, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 7, 2013 in Grandview, Texas.  Funeral services will held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.  Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood.  Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Food and fellowship will follow at New Beginnings Church.

Mickey was born on March 9, 1951 in Brownwood, Texas.  He graduated and went to school to be an engineer with The Santa Fe Railroad Company.  He was the father of four children.  Mickey was an avid biker and loved the spiritual freedom riding gave him.  He was a man of many quotes not soon forgotten.  He was a man with a big heart and large character.  He loved his family and friends.  He was very giving of his wisdom and time.  He taught so many people of life and how to live it to the fullest.  He was a very unselfish and gracious man.  He would always say the hero in his life was his mother Rebecca McKee.

Mickey is survived by his children, son Mickey McKee of Coleman; daughter Jennifer Arredondo and husband Joe of Brownwood; daughter Tracey McKee of Brownwood; son Danny McKee of Brownwood and the love of his life Kathy Mckee.  Twelve grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren with a great grandson on the way.  Sisters Theresa Culpepper and husband Tommy of Brownwood and Pamela Scheberl of Brownwood; his brother Mark Slaughter and wife Virginia of Grandview and by his beloved mother Rebecca Mckee.  Numerous nieces, nephews and by many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, A.B. McKee; sister Debbie McKee Holly of Brownwood; brother David Slaughter of Brownwood; great niece Kaitlyn Cross.

Mickey, Dad, Uncle, Brother, Cousin, Grandpa and Friend you will be missed and loved forever.  Keep it in the wind Daddy-O.

Friends are invited to sign the guestbook at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net

Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
