Early Chamber of Commerce Readies for 1st Annual Early Pioneer Days October 18-20, Schedule of Events

EarlyPioneerDaysLogoEarly Chamber of Commerce is getting set to host the 1st Annual Early Pioneer Days October 18th-20th, a weekend full of family friendly activities and educational events about the days of the pioneers around their offices in Early.  Early Pioneer Days will be held at the grounds of the Early Chamber of Commerce, located at 104 E. Industrial Drive in Early.

Friday, October 18th will kick off Pioneer Days with Wagon Rides from 5:30-10:00 p.m. and storytelling with Bob Sawyer and K.R. Wood at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday will be filled with events such as the 5K fun run and 1.5 mile walk, arts & crafts, the farmers market, tasty festival food, educational demonstrations, pony rides and lots of family fun.  There will also be a horseshoe tournament and other old fashioned games.

Saturday culminate with music by Gone to Texas Western Swing Band (K.R. Wood) and a street dance with Billy Mata and the Texas Traditions.

Sunday will conclude the Early Pioneer Festival with an “Old Tyme Camp Meeting” with a cowboy breakfast.
