The Early Chamber of Commerce welcomed Caring Family Network to their new location at 114 Early Blvd. on Monday with a ribbon cutting.

The Caring Family Network, a DePelchin Children’s Center Affiliate, is a non-profit child placing agency for foster and adoptive children in the state of Texas. They will be holding their 4th annual fundraiser event “A Nite at the Races” this Saturday, October 12th at the Brownwood Country Club.  The fundraiser benefits the children and families located in and around Brown County and primarily goes to help give them a more magical Christmas.

At the event, twelve pre-recorded thoroughbred horse races will be played (each race is sent in sealed packaging) and attendees of the event are able to bet on them just as if they were really at the races.

Attendees will enjoy a steak dinner, drinks and the music of the Josh Grider Band.  Silent auction items will also be available.  Tickets are $65 per person and are available for purchase at the door or through Caring Family Network at 325-646-3222.  All participants must be 21 or older to attend.
