BCWID Board Meeting Agenda – October 8, 2013

Brown County Water Improvement District #1 board of directors meeting, Tuesday, October 8, 2013, 5 PM – 501 E. Baker.

Meeting Agenda:

1.  Call to Order

2.  Pledge of Allegiance

3.  Invocation

4.  Approval of:  Minutes of regular meeting held September 10, 2013;

5.  Approval of:  Claims and Accounts Report;

6.  Approval of Investment and Financial Reports;

7.  Citizen Presentations:  any citizen desiring to address the Board of Directors regarding a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time.  The Board of Directors may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item.  To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Board of Directors respectfully requests that prior to addressing the Board, each person submit a citizen presentation form located in the entrance to the lobby, stating your name, address and topic of presentation.  All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit;

8. Presentation of appreciation for life saving assistance at Lake Brownwood by Howard Payne University Basic Canoeing class;

9. Review Land Appraisal Report & approve redetermination of annual rental rate for lots 3, 4, and 5, Peninsula Subdivision;

10. Discussion regarding the District’s well project with D.B. Stephens and Carillo Engineering;

11. Discuss and take necessary action on change order #3 for District’s test well project in an amount not to exceed $75,344.95;

12. Discuss and take necessary action regarding a request from D.B. Stephens for payment of additional services rendered in an amount not to exceed $48, 583.00;

13. Discussion regarding a ground water district for Brown County;

14. Hear General Manager’s report: Treatment Plant project, Early/Zephyr water line project;

15. Adjournment.
