Laverne Miller

miller2Laverne Miller, age 85, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 3, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side.

Graveside Services for Laverne will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Zephyr Cemetery with Dick Williams officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services from 9-12 at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Laverne was born on August 10, 1928 to Clyde and Ruth (Thompson) Russell in Mexia, TX. She worked in the Insurance Business in Dallas for many years. She loved animals, gardening, and flowers. Laverne was a Christian woman, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind daughters, Jackie Lewis and husband Jerry of Brownwood, Pamela Cantrell and husband Donnie of Mesquite, and Patricia Miller of Dallas; son, Ronnie Miller and wife Ella of Dallas; eighteen grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

She joins in eternal rest her husband, Jack Miller; parents; grandson Bradley Royce Lewis, and great-grandbaby Shirey.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Laverne’s caregivers Rosemary Harris and Carmelita Smith, and her hair stylist Judy Medcalf.

Family and friends are invited to leave online condolences at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
