Brownwood/Brown County Health Department Brownwood Reunion Celebration Drawing Winners Announced

2013ReunionWinner1The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department, Public Health Preparedness (PHP) office announces the winner of the Family Emergency Kit, Rosie Cadena (Barbara Cadena, her mother, is pictured) and the winner of the Emergency Hazard Radio, Janiece Johnson.

Entries for the drawings were accepted at the PHP booth at the Brownwood Reunion Celebration. The Family Emergency Kit included all items recommended for inclusion in family emergency kits except for family specific items such as baby diapers and pet supplies.  The emergency hazard radio included a light and a hand crank for powering and charging of cellular devices.

Even though September, National Preparedness Month, has passed, the staff at the PHP office encourages citizens to continue to prepare for public health emergencies.
