Thanks to a generous donation by Big Country Ford and Hawk Hill Sales, Good Samaritan Ministries was able to raise over $15,000 for the Deer Project during their raffle of a Massimo utility vehicle.

Tickets were sold for just $10 each and available at several businesses locally, through member sales and at this year’s Brownwood Reunion Celebration.  The all proceeds benefit the Deer Project, which is a program that allows hunters to donate legally tagged deer to Good Samaritan Ministries to feed hungry families in Brown County.  Local processors process donated deer for the minimal price of one dollar per pound of venison for the Deer Project.

The lucky winner was drawn at noon on Saturday, September 28th, at Big Country Ford by Good Samaritan Ministries Executive Director Angelia Bostick.  Bostick called the winner, Forrest Snyder of Brownwood, to congratulate him on winning the Massimo UTV; however, had to leave him a message about the good news.

Anyone who is interested in the Deer Project may call 325-643-2273 for more information or stop by 305 Clark Street.  To make a donation to help cover cost of processing, mail it to P.O. Box 1136, Brownwood, TX 76804; bring it by 305 Clark Street or make a donation online via PayPal at
