Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.

Lake Brownwood

Water stained to clear; 80–84 degrees; 8.89′ low. Black bass are good on watermelon and redbug soft plastic frogs and worms near brush piles, and on topwaters on main lake flats. Hybrid striper are fair trolling hellbenders. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies off lighted docks at night. Crappie are good on Li’l Fishies and minnows over brush piles in 10–20 feet, and under lighted docks at night. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 12–20 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with perch.

Lake Coleman

Water clear; 80–84 degrees; 14.71′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and soft plastics. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.

O.H. Ivie Reservoir

Water stained; 75–82 degrees; 41.59′ low. Black bass are good on topwaters early, later switching to jigs and Carolina rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs around deep water structure. White bass are fair on topwaters and Little Georges. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

Lake Proctor

Water stained; 81–85 degrees; 7.25′ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are good on shad. White bass are good on pet spoons and slabs. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on goldfish and minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.
