Nelda Wiley Edwards

EdwardsNeldaNelda Wiley Edwards passed away on July 23, 2013 in Houston, TX.  She was born July 18, 1929 in Blanket, TX, to her late parents, Albert Yancey Wiley and Ella Mae Harris Wiley.

Nelda attended Daniel Baker College in Brownwood.  She retired from Monsanto Chemical Company in Texas City after 34 years of service.  She then went to work at Kellogg now KBR. Her last position was at the Omni Houston Hotel Westside, and remained there until a few years ago.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert E. Wiley; she is survived by her sister-in-law, Marge Wiley of Chandler, AZ, a nephew, Michael E. Wiley of Yuma, AZ, a niece Madelynn Terzenback of Temple, AZ and a great niece, Robin Hayenga of Chandler, AZ. She will be missed by her family, many friends, fellow employees, and her cat Cody.

Nelda gave her body as a gift of life to the University of Texas Willed Body Program.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with a reception following the service.

Donations may be made to your local Cancer Research Center.
