Reminder – Brown County Retired Teachers’ Association to Host Jim Keffer Appreciation Day

Keffer TexasThe Brown County Retired Teachers’ Association will host “Jim Keffer Appreciation Day” from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24th.  The event will be held at the Early Economic Development Building in the Bill King Conference Room, located at 104 East Industrial Drive in Early.

The public is invited to attend this “come & go” appreciation visit with Texas House Representative Jim Keffer.

Keffer represents District 60 of Texas, which encompasses Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Eastland, Hood, Palo Pinto, Shackelford and Stephens Counties. In 1997, he became the first Republican to represent District 60. And has won overwhelming reelections ever since.

Jim currently serves as Chairman of the Texas House Committee on Energy Resources. He also serves on the Natural Resources Committee, Redistricting Committee and Texas House Republican Caucus. Keffer has previously served as chairman of other House committees including: Ways and Means, Economic Development, and the Select Committee on Property Tax Relief.
