pink_out_2013_logoOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Brownwood ISD is supporting this cause once again this year by designating Friday, October 11th as “PINK-OUT” day.  Faculty, staff, and students throughout the district will be seen wearing pink throughout the day to increase awareness and raise money for local families fighting cancer.

Brownwood ISD is encouraging employees, students, parents, and community members to purchase the pink, custom-made “Leaping for a Cure” t-shirt and wear it to school or work and to the Brownwood Lions vs. Burnet Bulldogs football game later that evening. The football game begins at 7:30 p.m., and the BHS Lions football players, as well as all extracurricular groups (drill team, cheerleaders, Lion Crew, band, etc.) will be sporting pink on their uniforms.

T-Shirts are available by pre-order only, and order forms can be filled out at the Brownwood ISD Central Office at 2707 Southside Drive, or at any Brownwood ISD campus.  The cost per t-shirt is $10 for all sizes youth through adult XL, and $12 for 2X and 3X.  All orders must be made by Thursday, Sept. 26th.

Brownwood ISD hopes to top last year’s effort which raised $5200 that was donated to families within the district battling cancer.
