Texas State Technical College to be Featured at Friday’s Chamber Luncheon

MikeReeserThe Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly luncheon Friday, September 20 at the Brownwood Country Club from 11:30 AM to 1 PM with guest speaker Mike Reeser, Chancellor of Texas State Technical College.

The luncheon, which is open to members and guests, will feature an interesting program and will also include door prizes, introduction of new members and the “Aces Wild” Cash Drawing, which guarantees a winner every month.

Michael L. Reeser has served as Chancellor of the Texas State Technical College System since 2010. TSTC, the only state-supported technical college system in Texas, includes four colleges and seven training centers.

Prior to his current role, Reeser served as president of Texas State Technical College West Texas for six years. He also served in various roles at the college including vice president and dean of instruction at TSTC West Texas. He also served the TSTC system as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining TSTC, Reeser was the president of a bank in Waco, Texas and also served for 15 years in various bank management roles in Houston.

Throughout his career, Mr. Reeser has been an active member or served in leadership and governance roles in scouting, economic & community development, education, and church.

Mr. Reeser earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Arlington.

This month’s luncheon is sponsored by Bruner Auto Group. Table Sponsors are: Brownwood Janitorial and Fire Extinguisher, Dazzling Diva’s and The Hideout Golf Club. Door Prizes have been sponsored by: Baird Brothers Express Car Wash, Dumas Portraits, Trees Forever Nursery, Wal-Mart and West Central Wireless/Right Wireless/Mid-Tex Cellular.
