DocsDrugstoreLogoAlthough it still feels like summer and the area is still experiencing near 100° days, one business is thinking about cooler weather that is inevitably on the way and organizing a coat drive for those in need.

Doc’s Drugstore, located in both Brownwood and Early, is asking the public to help collect as many coats as possible for those in need.  Each store will serve as drop off locations for the coat drive.  Doc’s of Early is located at 1210 C.C. Woodson Road in Early.  Doc’s of Brownwood is located at 3800 Hwy 377 South in Brownwood.

“Clean out your closet and drop off your coat at one of our stores,” said organizers on the Doc’s Drugstore Facebook pages.

Organizers plan to distribute the coats sometime in October.

So, start cleaning out the closets now or purchase a new coat while there are plenty to choose from in stores.  Help Doc’s Drugstores give some warmth to those in need this winter.
