BrownwoodBusinessShowcase2013bThe Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is getting set for their annual business showcase on September 5th, and complementary passes are currently available.

The 19th Annual Brownwood Business Showcase will feature over 70 local businesses from around the area in various lines of trade – from established businesses as well as some of the newest in the Brownwood area.

The show will open at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 5th at the Brownwood Coliseum. Admission at the door will be $2 and complimentary passes are currently available for a limited time at the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce office – 600 E. Depot St.

“All visitors to the show will have the opportunity to win booth prizes from each of the exhibitors,” said Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce Director of Member Services Missi Malone.  “Those who participate in the ‘bingo’ game may enter to win the grand door prize – a Yeti Bucket filled with hunting goodies from Weakley-Watson Sporting Goods.”

For the 7th year, the Taste of Brownwood returns to the Business Showcase to offer the community an opportunity to sample favorite recipes from local restaurants, caterers and bakeries. From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, showcase visitors can sample tasty treats. Each visitor will receive 4 free Taste of Brownwood tickets with the $2 admission fee. Those who choose to enter with a complimentary pass will need to purchase Taste of Brownwood tickets at the door the day of the show.  Free tote bags will be given to the first 500 visitors to enter the showcase.

“Make plans to attend, visit with people you have known for years and get to know the new faces in town,” Malone said.  “Take time to learn about the products and services offered by each one of these local business owners.”

The Brownwood Chamber encourages local residents to “shop local” to support local businesses and the local economy.

The 2013 Brownwood Business Showcase is presented by KTXS-TV.  Gold sponsors include Citizens National Bank and Songbird Lodge; Silver Sponsor is Affiliated Bank; Taste of Brownwood is sponsored by Sodexo-BRMC; booth awards are sponsored by Wal-Mart and tote bags are sponsored by Moore Printing.

For more information about the show, call the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce at 325-646-9535 or visit BrownwoodChamber.org for more information.
