DillardAnnFuneral services for Ann Dillard, 76, of Brownwood, will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, August 22, in the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd King officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, August 21 at the funeral home.

Ms. Dillard passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013, in Fort Worth Texas, after a lengthy illness.

Anna Inez Brisco was born on November 21, 1936, to Arthur Brisco and Frances Miriam Foot Brisco. She married Harold Lewis Dillard on August 31, 1952, in St. George, Utah, he preceded her in death.

Ann had lived in Brownwood since 1976 and over the years, had made many dear friends who knew that if they ever needed anything, they could count on her to be there. With a heart of gold and loving hands, she devoted her life to caring for her children and spoiling the grandchildren and great-grandchildren that came along through the years. Her favorite pastime was working puzzles and spending time with her family. She was loved by all; she will be greatly missed; and she will always hold the title of “The Best Cook Ever!”

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Ricky Lewis Dillard and Patricia Ann Dillard both of Brownwood and David Aynes of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Marcia Kay Sherrin, John Thomas Dillard, Christina L. Dillard, Joshua Nathaniel Dillard, Justin Levi Dillard, Tashiana Marie Nixon, Jennifer Aynes and David Aynes; and 12 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by three sisters, Pauline Eaton of Brownwood and Marie Stumbaugh and Leona Brisco, both of Palmdale, California; sister-in-law, Hallie Brisco of Palmdale, California and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a host of good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Frances Brisco; a son, Eddie Dillard; three sisters, Virginia Brisco, Pearl Brisco and Clarice Cupps; five brothers, Rollo, Lowell, Harold, George and Arthur Brisco and two infant brothers.

Family and friends are invited and encouraged to sign the online guestbook at www.nethertonfuneralhome.com.
