On Friday August 16, 2013, Arthur Little was called to his Maker. Arthur was born in Dublin, Texas, on December 2, 1927. His family moved to Brownwood in his teen years.

Arthur served in the U.S. Army during World War II and returned to Brownwood after the war where he later met his wife of 63 years, Patsy Little of Early. She preceded him in death July 20, 2011. Arthur went to work for Firestone in Brownwood later transferring to Mesquite, Texas, where he became a store manager. Arthur worked for Firestone for 35 years before retiring in 1981. After retirement, Arthur moved back to his home in Brownwood.

Known for his quick humor and unselfish nature, Arthur was always there for any of his family and friends. While Arthur and Patsy never had any children of their own, Arthur was the second father to all of his nephews and nieces, who dearly loved him.

Arthur is survived by his sister, Irene Tolston of Ennis; two nephews and three nieces, Floyd Tolston and wife Linda of Ennis, Marc “Denny” Denson and wife Kelly of Corpus Christi, Melissa Shew and husband Brian of Lewisville, Vicky Cloud and husband Bruce of Wimberly and Janet Longino and husband Jeff of Tyler. Grand nieces and grand nephews include: Cassidy Wilson of Lewisville, Jessica Liska and husband Paul of Ennis, Jacob Longino of Tyler, Nicholas Longino of Tyler and Jacob Cloud of Austin. Great grand nephews include, Logan Liska and Reid Liska of Ennis; a great grand niece Savannah Denton of Corpus Christi, Texas.
