The American Southwest Conference released its 2013 pre-season volleyball poll and Howard Payne University was picked to finish 8th after a vote of the league’s 10 head coaches and sports information directors.
Howard Payne, who finished 10-16 overall and 5-11 in conference last year, was the choice in the eighth spot of the pre-season poll, followed by LeTourneau (49 pts.) and Sul Ross State (24 pts.).
The Lady Jackets return 3rd team All-Conference middle hitter Hannah Hicks and Honorable Mention All-Conference Libero Shelby Bridges along with eight other returners.
Howard Payne will open the 2013 season August 30-31 at the Eastern Mennonite University tournament in Harrisonburg, VA.
