Blanket Frontier Day Set for September 14th

Plans are underway for the annual Blanket Frontier Day, an all day event which will take place on Saturday, September 14th.

An 870 Remington 12 gauge shotgun will be raffled off at 7:00 p.m. during Frontier Day and is also pictured above.   Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00 and can be purchased from any committee member and at the whistle Stop in Blanket.  Tickets will also be available all day during the event.

The Blanket Frontier Day is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Blanket, Texas.  Activities wiII begin at 9:00 a.m. and the theme for the event is “Bringing Generations Together.”  This will be the third year for Blanket to host this special community-wide event. The public is invited to come be a part of the festivities.

Activities will include vendors, a parade, BBQ cook-off, Dutch oven demonstration, street dance starting at 8:00 p.m., kid’s activities and many other all day community wide events.

The parade will start at 1:00 p.m.  There will be three judges selected to judge the parade.  Awards will be presented after the parade to first, second, and third place winners.

10 x 10 Vendor booths are available for $15.00 per booth.
