chamberlogoThe Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, Brownwood Economic Development Corporation and Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Young Adults Small Group have teamed up to form the new Young Leaders of Brown County.

The purpose of the Young Leaders of Brown County is to provide young adults ages 22 – 35 living in the area opportunities to network with other young leaders, establish relationships to build a career and an enjoyable lifestyle. Throughout the year the group will host special events to facilitate the development of leadership skills and partnerships with business and community leaders necessary to grow as a young leader in the community.

On Tuesday, August 20th, the Young Leaders of Brown County will host a summer mixer, presented by Kohler, TexasBank and Citizens National Bank.  This kickoff event will be held at the new resort style pool at the Brownwood Country Club from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Anyone living in the area between the ages of 22-35 is welcome to attend and enjoy refreshments, networking and the great pool.  It is free to attend this adults only event and attendees are welcome to swim if they feel comfortable doing so, otherwise dress is casual.  There will be food and drink service provided through the Country Club at the cost of the attendee.

“Invite friends and plan enjoy the beautiful pool and scenery at the Brownwood Country Club, swim or enjoy a game of washers, and meet fellow Young Leaders of Brown County,” said Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce director of member services Missi Malone.

For more information about supporting the group contact Missi Malone at 325-646-9535.
