DocsDrugstoreLogoBest Med, the parent company of Doc’s Drugstore, will be giving away 100 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to families in need on Wednesday, August 14th.

Beginning at 8:00 a.m., backpacks will be offered at both the Brownwood and Early locations of Doc’s Drugstore.  Quantities are limited, so the backpacks will be given out on a first come first serve basis and limited to three packs per family.  This giveaway will last until each store has given away 50 backpacks.

According to Doc’s representatives, Doc’s wants to be able to give to the families in need that might not have the extra money to buy school supplies this year.

Doc’s opened in Brownwood in 2006 at 3800 U.S. Hwy 377 South and expanded in 2008 to a second location at 1210 C. C. Woodson Road in Early.  Doc’s drugstores offer a wide variety of pharmaceutical products, along with a gift shop and soda fountain in each location.
