Brownwood Community Garden will host a food preservation class Saturday, August 10th at 11:00 a.m.

The class will be held in the shady arbor area of the garden.  The class will be a general introduction to freezing, drying, canning, salting and fermentation.  A $10 class fee will be charged to attendees.

The Brownwood Community Garden is located at 1514 Dublin Street, inside the Brownwood Housing Authority Park Homes, behind the Central Texas Opportunities building.  Those attending are asked to park behind the CTO building.

Volunteer opportunities are also available Saturday, August 10th from 10 a.m. until noon.
