reunion_logoOnce again, the popular “Brownwood’s Got Talent” contest will be coming to the Brownwood Reunion Celebration for the second year in a row, and organizers are currently accepting applications for the talent competition.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 17th at the Grand Starz Bingo Hall on Belle Plain from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  One act per entry will be allowed on the day of audition.  Twelve finalists will be selected this year.  The entry fee for Brownwood’s Got Talent is $15, “anyone and any act may enter,” according to organizers.

The community is invited to watch the auditions; cost of entry is $1 per person of any age.

The top 12 will be videotaped on Sunday, August 18th from 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. to be put onto the Reunion website for voting to start.  These will be closed performances with no audience.  The top 12 will be allowed to do up to two different acts on this day but only one act will be featured on the Reunion website for voting purposes.

The top 12 will each win a t-shirt and will come back on Saturday, September 21st, during the Reunion from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., to perform for an audience on Celebration Stage (across from the BBQ cook-off) for the judges of the event.  Everyone is invited to be a part of this audience and enjoy the performances.

The judges’ top three entries will all win prizes; however the winner will receive backstage passes, VIP passes and the opportunity to perform at 10 p.m. Saturday night at the Celebration Stage before Corey Morrow performs.

To download an entry form, click here.  For more information or questions, please call or text Tammy Robinson at 325-643-1319.

The Brownwood Reunion Celebration is a community-wide festival featuring a variety of contests, events, attractions, music, and food in addition to the main concerts.
