Local athletes Early  Middle School student Jake Angerstein and Brownwood High School student Sydney Roberts recently competed in the West Texas Junior Champions Tour held on August 1st and 2nd in Kerrville and placed well in the event.

Angerstein is the son of Jason and Diana Angerstein of Early.  He shot a 75 and 78 for a 2-day total of 153 to securing second place in the 12-13 boys age bracket.

Roberts, daughter of Jeff and Diane Roberts of Brownwood, competed in the 15-18 girls age group in the tour, and during the school year is a member of the Brownwood High School Lady Lions golf team.  She shot 80-73-153 to earn fourth place in her division.
