Wednesday, July 31

* 7:17 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding the theft of a cell phone.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her cell phone was taken from her shopping cart without her consent.

Thursday, August 1

*9:32 AM – Brownwood Police received a report from Child Protective Services regarding sexual abuse. According to the report, both the victim and the alleged perpetrator were identified as juveniles and the offense is under investigation.

*1:47 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, two assaults which had allegedly occurred on July 26th at a south Brownwood residence.  The incident is being investigated.

*1:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Bailey Street regarding an accident.  During the investigation, it was determined that the driver of one vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.  A suspect was identified; however no arrest had been made at the time of the accident, according to the report.

*5:11 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Campa Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his vehicle was broken into during the night and several items were taken from the cab area including a firearm.

*8:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 8th Street regarding alleged drugs/narcotics.  The incident is under investigation the report states.

*Early Police arrested 26-year-old Daniel Lee Mendieta of Bangs for arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 46-year-old Kenneth Myers on multiple Tom Green County warrants related to bail jumping, failure to appear, and forgery of a financial instrument.  Myers is being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $75,000.

*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Stacy David Torres on a Travis County parole violation.

Friday, August 2, 2013

*2:51 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, a subject stole beer from the 7-11 convenience store and was later located and issued a citation for theft under $50.

*7:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Main Blvd., Maranatha Church, regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the house located on the property and the fellowship hall with the intent to commit theft.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Blotter information compiled from local law enforcement reports and jail records.
