The Brownwood Regional Medical Center Volunteers Announce Volunteer of the Month Awards

AnnAllenMarch2013VOMThe BRMC Volunteers are pleased to announce recent award recipients of the BRMC Volunteer of the Month Award. The Volunteer of the Month Award is given each month during the year. Recipients of the award receive recognition and lunch at the Executive Board Meeting held in the month following their selection. The March and April 2013 Volunteer Year award recipients received a Certificate of Recognition plus a ‘Heart of an Angel’ Gold Bell figurine, which represents the motto of The Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers for the 2012-2013 Volunteer Year, ‘Volunteers’ Angels with Hidden Wings. Beginning with the month of May 2013 the Volunteer of the Month recipients are recognized with a framed certificate and a ‘For the Love of a Child’ pin which represents the motto of The Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers for the 2013 – 2014 Volunteer Year.

The following BRMC Volunteers have been recognized as Volunteers of the Month for their volunteer services by the BRMC Volunteers Executive Board.

Ann Allen (pictured above) was honored as the March 2013 BRMC Volunteer of the Month. Ann has served as a Volunteer since 2001. She is a past President of the volunteers serving in that position of leadership in 2008 – 2009. Ann currently serves as Co-Chairperson of the Volunteers Scholarship Committee and also serves at the Volunteers Information Desk. She has over 5,600 hours of volunteer service at BRMC.

Betty Beyer was honored as the April 2013 Volunteer of the Month. Betty has served as a volunteer since 2003. She is a Past President of the volunteers serving in that position of leadership in 2009 – 2010. Currently she serves as the treasurer and e-correspondent for the volunteer organization. As treasurer, she has been responsible for converting the volunteers bookkeeping and accounting system to a computer based system. Betty has over 4,000 hours of volunteer service at BRMC.
DisaCarruthMay2013VOM Disa Carruth was honored as the May 2013 Volunteer of the Month. Disa has served as a volunteer since July 2012. She serves as Vice-President of Membership and serves at the Volunteers Information Desk. Disa has over 200 hours of volunteer service at BRMC.
TerrieRigbyBRMCJune2013VOM Terrie Rigby was honored as the June 2013 Volunteer of the Month. Terrie has been a volunteer since 2004. She is a familiar face in the surgery waiting area where she assists patient’s families and visitor with a positive spirit and a cheerful smile. Terrie has over 1,900 hours of volunteer service at BRMC.
